1X2 Handicap
Description: The 1X2 or European Handicap bet is settled on the basis that one of the teams is given a goal start, giving it an advantage or disadvantage (depending if the goal is added or subtracted).
Selections: The 1X2 Handicap bet has 3 selections, the same as for Win/Draw/Win.
Example 1 (Addition): The bookmaker sets the handicap bet for the match Team A to +1 (Team A (+1) vs. Team B)
In the case of a draw or if Team A wins: The result for the 1X2 Handicap is “1” because Team A had an addition of 1 goal so Team A win even with a draw.
In the case of a Team B win with a 1 goal difference (0-1, 1-2 etc…): The result for the 1X2 Handicap is “X” because the Team A had an addition of 1 goal so the handicap result is a draw.
In the case of a Team B win with 2 or more goals difference (0-2,1-3 etc…): The result for the 1X2 Handicap is “2” because the Team B win despite the +1 handicap addition to Team A.
Example 2 (Subtraction): The bookmaker sets the handicap bet for the match Team A to -1 (Team A (-1) vs. Team B)
In the case of a draw or a Team B win: The result for the 1X2 Handicap is “2” because Team A had a subtraction handicap of 1 goal, so Team B wins.
In the case of a Team A win with a 1 goal difference (1-0, 2-1 etc…): The result for the 1X2 Handicap is “X” because the Team A had a subtraction handicap of 1 so the result is a draw.
In the case of a Team A win with 2 or more goals difference (2-0, 3-1 etc…): The result for the 1X2 Handicap is “1” because Team A wins despite the -1 subtraction.
